S. Sic is a Berlin-based DJ and techno producer whose musical journey dates back to the mid-1990s. His music stands for depth, precision, and a consistently reduced aesthetic, far removed from short-lived trends and superficial effects.
S.Sic is a German DJ and producer whose musical roots run deep in Berlin’s techno scene. His career has been shaped by more than two decades behind the decks. From 2003 to 2010, he was a resident at Berlin’s legendary Tresor. Today, his sound focuses on reduced, hypnotic techno defined by depth, groove and precise, understated production.
His connection with Tresor began in 2000, when he first played at the club as part of its New Faces programme. These early appearances eventually developed into a Tresor residency from 2003 to 2010. A further residency at Electric Ballroom at SO36 followed. Some time later, his performances took him beyond Germany to various European countries, including Italy, Poland, Spain and Belgium. Alongside his DJ work, he also hosted his own event series, Rejoice.
Towards the end of the 2000s, S.Sic’s sound increasingly moved in a deeper and more reduced direction, while producing his own music became increasingly central to his work. This led to numerous releases and remixes on labels including Plus 8 Records, Rave The Planet, Mozaiku, Crash!, Thunderstruck Records and Counter Pulse, alongside releases through his own label projects.
One of the defining moments in his work as a producer came with “Restless Sea” on Mozaiku. Richie Hawtin selected the track for his Cover Stars Selects feature in the UK’s Mixmag and subsequently incorporated S.Sic’s material into his CLOSE COMBINED project. This resulted in “CLOSE combined (These Restless Drums)” by Richie Hawtin, S.Sic and Charlotte de Witte, released on Plus 8 Records.
Together with Micha Stahl, S.Sic founded Filou-Music in 2013. In 2014, he launched Sick:Trash together with Terry Trasher. Since 2019, S.Sic and Micha Stahl have been running the techno label Modus-Minor.
Today, S.Sic stands for hypnotic, reduced techno with groove and depth. In 2026, his track “Endless Repeat” appeared on Rave The Planet’s Future Prints compilation. His approach remains clear: depth over hype, reduction over excess.
